Texas Chiropractic College’s Moody Health Center Invites Public To An Open House on December 16

PASADENA, Texas – The Moody Health Center at Texas Chiropractic College in Pasadena, Texas invites the community to drop by for an Open House on Dec. 16, 2008, from 3 to 7 p.m.

The Moody Health Center (MHC) is the outpatient clinic on the Texas Chiropractic College (TCC) campus and is open to the public. The clinic is a teaching center with five attending Doctors of Chiropractic, and with the facilities to care for up to 600 patients a day in the areas of Chiropractic, Injury Care, Nutritional Consultation, Acupuncture, Rehabilitation, Physical Medicine, and Radiology Services. As a teaching center for TCC, the MHC offers quality care at an affordable rate and walk-ins are always accepted.

The December Open House offers all members of the community the opportunity to stop by the MHC to meet the attending clinicians and students of TCC. Children will be able to visit with Santa Claus and get their pictures taken with him for free, while refreshments and other goodies will also be available. Complimentary health screenings will be provided for all interested guests.

“We at the Moody Health Center are excited to invite the community to our home during the holiday season,” said Dr. Steve Elliott, Dean of Clinics and Director of the MHC. “We hope that people in Pasadena, Deer Park, Clear Lake and all the surrounding communities take some time to meet with us on December 16th and learn more about how the MHC can be of service to them.”

Founded in San Antonio in September 1908, TCC relocated to Pasadena in 1965 to accommodate growing enrollment. It is the fourth oldest chiropractic college in the United States and is today recognized as a leader in chiropractic education. The College’s Moody Health Center provides health services to the public, and is a model integrative health care facility featuring traditional chiropractic care, family practice by medical doctors, acupuncture and massage. The clinic sees approximately 18,000 patient visits per year. Additionally, with 110 employees, TCC’s economic impact to the Southeast Harris County area is $12,500,000, with 59 additional jobs created in the area (not including construction projects).
