Dr. L. Bert Williams Recognized with Community Award

Dr. L. Bert Williams, a member of
the Texas Chiropractic College Board of Regents, was recently awarded
the
Community Leader of the Year for 2009-2010 by the Economic Forum at Lone
Star College.
The presentation ceremonies included Governor Rick Perry,
Senator
Dan Patrick, Rep. Debbie Riddle, Rep. Patricia Harless and local
dignitaries. Rep. Debbie Riddle made the presentation. She cited Dr.
Williams
for his many years of community involvement and political activism. She
told
the breakfast crowd about Dr. Williams numerous awards including the
Small
Business Award of the Business and Industry Council. He was also praised
for his work with CCEMS. He is well known for his involvement in local
school
board bond elections. He was the parade chairman for the St. Patrick's
Day
Parade and has been connected to virtually every community project in
the
F.M.1960 area for 35 years. Rep. Riddle also told of Dr. Williams award
within
his profession including the TCA young chiropractor of the year award as
well
as two other doctor of the year awards.
